Historical Timeline

Born August 30, 1948 in Chicago,Illonis. Attended Proviso East High School Was very active while there Helped to settle racial tensions at Proviso East , Grduated in 1966. Enrolled at Triton Junior College where he studied pre-law. Became a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People(NAACP). Leader of the youth council of the west suburban branch. Worked to get better recreational facilities for the Black Community. Joined the Black Panther Party's Chicago chapter. Became the leader of the Chicago Chapter. Joined the illinois state Chapter of the Black Panther Party in November of 1968. Became the Chairman of the Illinois State Chapter. Brokered a nonagressive pack between Chicago's most powerful street gangs. Organized weekly rallies. Worked in the Black Panther's People's Clinic. Taught political education classes. Launched a project for community supervision of the police. Helped with the founding of the Black Panther's Free Breakfast Program. Died December 4, 1969.
